1. We, UMFCCI and KEIDANREN, successfully held the Japan-Myanmar Joint Economic Conference in Yangon on Tuesday, March 13th 2018. UMFCCI was represented by the two Vice Presidents, Mr. Thein Han and Dr. Maung Maung Lay, カジノシークレット 入金pproximately 80 business leaders; KEIDANREN was represented by the two Chairs of the Japan-Myanmar Economic Committee, Mr. Ken Kobayashi and Mr. Teruo Asada, カジノシークレット 入金pproximately 60 business leaders. We also had the honor of welcoming H.E. U Aung Htoo and H.E. Mr. Tateshi Higuchi. In addition, we received supportive messages regarding the further strengthening of bilateral relations from H.E. Mr. Htin Kyaw, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and H.E. Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan.
2. We welcomed the steady progress towards further economic development in Myanmar led by the National League for Democracy (NLD) government. In particular, we commended the positive achievements in promotion of foreign direct investment, including the introduction of a new investment law and the new company law. At the same time, we expressed our high expectations for further improvement of the business environment in Myanmar through such forums as the Japan-Myanmar Joint Initiative.
3. With regard to infrastructure development, KEIDANREN proposed the following:
- (1) Steady improvement of infrastructure to develop the Thilawa SEZ, which stimulates the manufacturing industry of Myanmar and creating increased job opportunities
- (2) Urban development of central Yangon and infrastructure development utilizing official development assistance and public-private partnerships
UMFCCI proposed the following:
- (1) Development of Infrastructure in Myanmar: a Local Player's Perspective
- (2) The Latest Improvement in Power Sector Development

4. With regard to human resource development, KEIDANREN explained the following:
- (1) Current progress in finding and developing Myanmar engineers and skilled technicians
- (2) Current progress in training human resources to improve conditions and strengthen systems within the Myanmar capital market
UMFCCI explained the following:
- (1) Building Human Capital for Private Sector Development in Myanmar

5. We agreed to hold the next Japan-Myanmar Joint Economic Conference in Tokyo next year at a time convenient to both sides.
